Mad Villainy and Collabos?

Posted by YunVeroz - January 29th, 2008

I did a bad thing. I listened to Madvillainy, the greatest hip-hop album of all time ever, for like the 30th time again. For the blasphemers that don't know, Madvillain is a collaboration between Madlib and MF Doom.

Anyway, I'm dealing with university crap again. Longing to touch vinyl once more, I recorded some Johnny Pate and Curtis Mayfield records, so hopefully I'll be able to actually finish a fucking track for once by sampling these massive tunes. I've got plenty of breaks in the pipeline, but no musical elements to back them up.

THEREFORE!

If you are interested in collaboration on heavy boom-bap shit with an oldskool vibe to it, hit me up on AIM: djsitrom .

(Note: boom-bap shit =/= crunk, dirty south, rap, r&b, et al. We're talking old school block parties, b-boys and boomboxes. Get at me)

Sounds fun, I guess...

Madvillainy is good...Danger Doom too. Frankly, I've yet to hear anything from Doom that I didn't like. He's one of those underrated cats, like Aesop or Shadow, IMO. But that's how hip-hop goes, I guess.

I would but...

Idk. I'm better now, I guess.

i have the instrumental copy of madvillainy also. one of the best purist hip hop albums to ever be released. basically everything a stones throw release is amazing. but nothing can compare to 'Big Shots' - peanut butter wolf and charizma (r.i.p)

id be happy to collaborate man, im using ableton live and reason 4. ableton for when i make hip hop

Im a B-Boy! blaow son!
But your forgetting one thing back in the old school....

THE GRAFFITI!!!

Aye fool, I put up the Eternal Dream Remix. =D

Can't forget graff in that list, Alacrity is right. I been taggin' since I can remember, saw my first angel piece and started gettin' into the crazy skywritin' then and there. Never got into the b-boy side though, no breakin or poppin or lockin though I do a mean boogie and g-walk like I was born and raised in mephis, but that's a product of the homeboys when I was up in ATL.

We've found an audio tape of Lejin & his nurse conversating in a mental Hospital

Lejin lives in a hospital.. how sad. =(
